Nuclear War: The Most Catastrophic Disaster Is Man Made

The two atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima, Japan in 1945 destroyed the two cities killing 150,000 to 250,000 people with a destructive power equivalent to 30,000 tons of TNT. The modern thermonuclear bombs are 30 to 1,000 times more powerful with about 13,000 pieces held by 9 nuclear armed nations, mainly by Russia and US with about 5,800 watheads each. The catastrophic effect of a nuclear war could end the present civilization as we know it and by all means should be avoided.
